DEDALUS
6 ideas scattered in a technological garden

Location: Pacific Hall. Seoul
Date: Seoul Living Design Fair, 2009

Migliore+Servetto’s interpretation for Design House on the concept of contemporary luxury is inspired by the Italian garden, an iconic reference of nature shaped to form designed spaces for dialogue and discovery.
In addition to giving the project the distinctive traits of an Italian style, the installation ideated by Ico Migliore and Mara Servetto aims to cast light on concepts as: intimacy, discovery and a personal, direct and harmonious relationship with space.
The general theme, “green style”, of precisely this edition of the Seoul Living Design Fair is translated into a reflection on the ecological quality of the space, which cannot merely consist of the right kind of energy or the use of eco-compatible or environmentally friendly materials. In the final analysis the quality of a space can only be determined by the relations and complexity which the single elements it is composed of are capable of forming.
Contemporary luxury is an aggregate of outstanding elements which owes its character first and foremost to the preciousness of the materials, the quality of the details, which is definitely associated with a high-quality and many-sided way to use and perceive the end result: from an individual use to a shared one, from the materials to the experience they offer.
A technological garden: a luminous labyrinth which reveals spaces for encounters and relations, inviting the visitor to face the challenge of ideas and themes linked to the quality of living.
