NO PARTICULAR ORDER – BENSIMON. MILANO

Location: Milano
Date: February-March 2004
Client: Elle Magazine Usa

Explosion, dismembering, decomposition. A seamless horizon of suspended fragments. One single frame for simultaneously reading all the parts together. Open pages, oversized, as if dismembered from the book and hooked onto the white space of the horizon, linked by the graphic style of the loose threads of the binding. The photographic selection for the exhibition reproduces the combinations of images chosen by Bensimon himself for the book-monograph entitled Gilles Bensimon Photography. No particular order, presented at the exhibition. Big, open double-pages made of aluminium sheets, slightly separated. Multiple shadows on the walls reverberating with red.
