FESTIVAL DEI SAPERI. PAVIA
with Italo Lupi
Location: Pavia
Date: 2006-2007-2008
Client: City of Pavia
Free bartering, meeting, socialising.
A pathway from the Castle to the river lined with big bookshops, designed for the outdoors, acting as hubs of interaction and exchange (and not just of books). Landmarks like milestones along the way to the city centre. The various features of the installation are marked by the logo, as a tribute to Erberto Carboni, and by five theme colours representing a plurality of forms of knowledge from science to the humanities, right at the heart of the event. A book-crossing path through the heart of the old university city as a means of interacting with the inhabitants of Pavia, the multitude of students flooding into it, and the people attending the Festival.
